Keep the weapons at the ready

Brahim Harchaoui

Once again, the Zionists are beating on the drums of war after the fulfilment of the last military drill, which was supervised by Gabi Ashkenazi. In addition to that, foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman issued a statement threatening to topple the regime of Bashar al-Asad in any new war. It seems that the Zionists are preparing themselves for a full scale confrontation, with possibly far-reaching consequences, in their quest to restore their weakened military deterrence in the region due to their military failure in the past ten years.

An analysis of the enemy
Opinion - Opinion
Monday, 19 January 2009

lebanon_profile.jpgBy Abdoulmouthaleb Bouzerda

To win a war, you don't need to defeat your enemy. It is enough to let it fail in its efforts. This works only when the enemy is the aggressor in the conflict. There is no doubt that Zionists with their racist ideology, occupation policy; ethnic cleansing and Apartheid are the aggressors since 1948 and the period before that. The Resistance movements in our homeland are well aware of this tactical approach. Hamas knows very well that as long rockets are fired into "Israel" the enemy cannot talk about successes. However, it is also good to realise that the enemy is familiar with this tactical approach.

From GAZA: "Still Breathing"
Opinion - Opinion
Friday, 16 January 2009

logofgm.jpg The morgues of Gaza's hospitals are over-flowing. The bodies- in their blood-soaked white shrouds- cover the entire floor space of the Shifa'a hospital's morgue. Some are intact, most horribly deformed, limbs twisted into unnatural positions, chest cavities exposed, heads blown off, skulls crushed in. Family members wait outside to identify and claim a brother, husband, father, mother, wife, child. Many of those who wait their turn have lost numerous family members and loved ones.

Blood is everywhere- hospital orderlies hose down the floors of operating rooms, bloodied bandages lie discarded in corners, and the injured continue to pour in- bodies lacerated by shrapnel, burns, bullet wounds. Medical workers, exhausted, and under siege, work day and night and each life saved is seen as a victory over the predominance of death.

AEL: Dr. Khreishe, could you describe us the current situation in the West Bank?
Dr. Khreishe: Where it is possible to demonstrate people are going on the streets to show their support for the resistance in Gaza. In the areas where the Palestinian Authority is in charge it is rather difficult to demonstrate though. But the people are with Hamas and against the occupation, this is clear in the slogans the demonstrators shout.

freepalestine.jpgSOS Gaza We call upon our comrades, brothers and sisters to take action for Gaza. The silence is unacceptable. The actions should be aimed at the Egyptian authorities especially. Thanks to their Zionist alliance with the enemy the people of Gaza suffer. By keeping Rafah closed, the Egytian government, is committing a war crime towards the children and ordinary people of Gaza.

brahiem.jpgArabs and pro-Palestinian people all over the world are commemorating 60 years since the Nakba, while the enemy is celebrating “the foundation” of the zionist entity.
But after sixty years we are still claiming Palestine and accusing the zionists of ethnic cleansing and occupation. The struggle against the zionists is getting stronger and intenser,in particular if we take the double defeat of the Zionist Occupation Army by Hezbollah into consideration.
