Once again, the Zionists are beating on the drums of war after the fulfilment of the last military drill, which was supervised by Gabi Ashkenazi. In addition to that, foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman issued a statement threatening to topple the regime of Bashar al-Asad in any new war. It seems that the Zionists are preparing themselves for a full scale confrontation, with possibly far-reaching consequences, in their quest to restore their weakened military deterrence in the region due to their military failure in the past ten years.

The Arab European League will file a lawsuit against the deceitful accusations that were spread by the Zionist periodical ‘Joods Actueel’ in the article ‘AEL aan tafel bij Hezbollah’, published on the 5th of April.

It is not our interest to verify what sources ‘Joods Actueel’ uses but we can state without any doubt that the entire article is filled with slander, lies and the usual Zionist propaganda. In addition to the so-called membership to Hezbollah , the activities of which Brahim Harchaoui has been accused of are mere self-indulgent accusations of an ‘Israeli’ agent continuing his blackmailing and paralysing of Flanders.

The AEL admires resistance organisations such as Hezbollah which are fighting against Israel, but we emphasise our particular ideological line. The meeting of Brahim Harchaoui with Samir Kuntar, which was announced on our own website, was part of a work visit of Mr. Harchaoui to Lebanon as a representative of the AEL.

During his journey in Lebanon he met several personalities of many different political currents to discuss different subjects. It is an integral strategy of our political activities to meet with representatives of the resistance.

We are satisfied with the fact that these Israeli agents and their insignificant periodical were disturbed by our political activities. In this current situation in which the entire media landscape unanimously condemns Israel and accuses this entity of performing the cruellest crimes, this tabloid remains loyal to Israeli criminal customs. It is noteworthy to conclude that ‘Joods Actueel’ is incapable, or unwilling to challenge us politically, but they do not lack reluctance to utilize slurs and lies against the AEL in a frail attempt to mute us.

The consequences of our complaint will be communicated as soon as there are developments worthy of mentioning.
